In conjunction with the Entrepreneur Gala, which was held at Estrad Alingsås on 23 February, Eivind Ottosson was named the 2016 Employer of the Year in Alingsås. Amid well-deserved applause and cheers from the 300 Gala guests, a noticeably moved Eivind was bestowed the honorary award of Chair of Företagarna, The Swedish Federation of Business Owners.

Elpro has undergone tremendous development over the last few years, which saw their employee base increase from six to eighteen. The company has also expanded its premises which now includes a production area of 1,500 m2, and turnover has increased exponentially. Something which has, among other things, resulted in the company being named Gazelle Company by Dagens Industri two years in a row. A Gazelle Company is a company with a turnover of at least SEK 10 million and with no fewer than ten employees. A company must have increased and – at least – doubled its turnover every year for three years when compared to the first and last years, which is something that Elpro has achieved.

Eivind was also lauded for his staunch commitment to sustaining and developing the Electricity and Energy programme at Alströmer High School.

According to Eivind, Elpro owes its success to strong governance and clear strategic planning, along with astute and well-implemented marketing.

“I feel incredibly proud and honoured. It is truly gratifying when hard work produces results. And I extend my gratitude to my co-workers and employees,” says Eivind Ottosson.
